As part of the agenda of promoting Trade and Industry in the country, the Minister-Designate for the sector, Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen has indicated during vetting in Parliament that Akufo-Addo’s government will recapitalise the MASLOC program to help young entrepreneurs.

According to him, the Microfinance and Small Loans Centre [MASLOC] is one of the programs which Nana Addo’s administration will look at to restructure things to empower the youth in engaging in their own businesses.

He hinted again that in order to boost Trade and Industry, there will be industrial development pack in each region like the Free Zone which help in the implementation of the 1-district, 1-factory projects; calling it industrial transformation agenda.

“It is government business to support businesses . . . We will restructure and recapitalise MASLOC program to help the young entrepreneurs in the country,” he indicated.
