Former Member of Parliament for Bantama, Henry Kwabena Kokofu has called on the Sunyani Traditional Council to rally support for the Minister-designate for Brong Ahafo Region, Kweku Asomah-Cheremeh.

Speaking on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo' programme, Hon. Kokofu asked the Chiefs not to create tension in the Sunyani community because the Minister nominee is qualified and would improve the Region.

Hon. Kokofu believed in the appointment of Kweku Asomah-Cheremeh and so stated emphatically that the Chiefs' rejection of him is an "unnecessary hatred".

The Sunyani Traditional Council, on Thursday, announced their rejection of the Regional Minister-designate because the Council held that Mr. Asomah-Cheremeh has over the years shown gross disrespect to them.

Hon. Kokofu advised the Council to iron out their differences and support the nominee for Parliamentary approval describing him as one of the finest personalities the Region could have.
