Chamber of Commerce Submits Budget Proposals To Govt

The Ghana Chamber of Commerce and Industry, GNCCI, has submitted its proposals to government to input into the 2010 budget, which is expected before the end of the year. The Chamber which currently has over 4,000 members is the largest private sector advocacy organisation in Ghana and therefore wields considerable influence over public policy framework. According to GNCCIs President, William Krofah, the Chambers suggestions and recommendations cover agricultural development, the cost and availability of credit to the private sector, negotiations with regards to the proposed Economic Partnership Agreement with the European Union, management of Ghanas fledging oil and gas industry, export of service, access to land, and the pursuit of sub regional economic integration through ECOWAS.
