Kofi Adams, Cars Saga: Vehicles Chassis Numbers Allegedly Removed

Interesting developments have exposed the high level of corruption and misappropriation of State assets by the previous Mahama-led National Democratic Congress (NDC) government with the National Organiser Kofi Adams at the centre of the whole scandal.

This paper gathered that, contrary to claims by Kofi Adams that the vehicles personnel from the National Security retrieved from his residence are his personal properties; chassis numbers of the cars had allegedly been removed, a move that has raised lots of eye brows.

Thorough checks on the said vehicles have revealed that the unique chassis numbers have been removed from all the vehicles.

However, the chassis numbers inscribed in the engines of these vehicles are still intact.

It is however unclear the reasons why the chassis numbers were allegedly removed.

The vehicles, including two Toyota Land Cruisers, three Pick Up vehicles and one other vehicle were all retrieved from Kofi Adams Tema residence.

Many people have congratulated the National Security for the steps taken to ensure that all stolen state assets are retrieved.

Majority are also of the view that the vehicles that were seized from Kofi Adams could be state assets which have been transferred into his name and therefore must be investigated.

It could be recall that, 15 men believed to be military personnel and members from the National Security seized five vehicles from Kofi Adams residence while he was away in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Although Kofi Adams could not confirm whether he personally purchase the cars, he claimed since they were registered in his name, he owns them, and that he had the capability to acquire cars in his capacity as the National Organiser of the NDC.

Stay tuned.
