"Cock & Bull Story"...No Single State Vehicle Is Missing! - Former Diplomat

Ghana's former High Commissioner to India, Lawyer Sam Pee Yalley, has described as a "cock and bull" story, the claim that over 200 state vehicles are missing.

No single vehicle is missing…what is this cock and bull story that 200 and something vehicles are missing; how… How come we cannot trace cars used by immediate past president when even cars used by Kwame Nkrumah are parked in the state house? It is a joke” he said.

The Director of Communications at the Presidency, Eugene Arhin, earlier this week revealed that there are over 200 cars unaccounted for at the Flagstaff House’s vehicle pool following the change in government on January 7, 2017.

He said this was detected after the assessment of five car models in the car pool inventory of the Flagstaff House.

Just these five models account for 208 vehicles which we strangely cannot find,” Mr. Arhin said speaking to the media.

However, contributing to a panel discussion on Radio Gold’s Alhaji and Alhaji, Sam Pee Yalley was emphatic that 'no car is missing' and that the Nana Addo-led administration is using the claim to create disaffection for the previous administration.

According to him, the issue is creating a bad impression for the country in the international world; adding what should have been done was to call those responsible to investigate the whereabouts of those cars instead of taking it to the media.

“…and you think you are doing politics? It is rather tarnishing our image in the international world…these are all vote gimmicks; stop it. Arhin (Eugene Arhin) stop that joke; this country is not for small boys and girls; this country is a matured country stop that joke….complaining that those cars are missing shows your own incompetence. For me…no one single car has been missing or stolen; the cars are there” he stated.
