Charles Owusu however expressed worry over the explanations given by the government regarding the free SHS.

He asked government Communicators to clearly define the intiative and what it would cover so that Ghanaians would not be confused about what to expect once it commences in September this year as indicated by President Akufo-Addo.

Also addressing the issue on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo', NDC Communicator, Ernest Brogya Gyamfi welcomed the President's initiative stressing it is prudent for the government to streamline Ghana's education system.

He however sought to find out if President Akufo-Addo would be continuing the "free progressive SHS" which to him was started by former President John Mahama or he (Akufo-Addo) is going to restart the entire process.

He also asked about the government's interest and commitment to develop the 123 Senior High Schools that were reportedly constructed under the erstwhile Mahama government.
