Regional House of Chiefs Visits Bimbilla

A delegation from the Northern Regional House of Chiefs, has visited Bimbilla to show solidarity and empathy to the chiefs and people, following the recent chieftaincy clashes in the area that claimed 10 lives.

The seven-member delegation held talks with the Regent of Bimbilla, and the royal family in the Bimbilla chieftaincy dispute.

It was led by Tuluwe Wura Rashid C. Mahama and comprised Yoo-Naa Mahama Abdulai, Wuu-Naba Sulemana Saaka, Bukpe- Naba Wari F.Y, Gabu- Naba John Dayari, Kang Wura Jinkurige 1 and Sagnari- Naa Yakubu Abdulai.

Tuluwe Wura Mahama, who spoke at a meeting with Naa Andani Dasana, Regent of Bimbilla at his palace at Bimbilla on Friday, expressed the need for both factions in the chieftaincy dispute to embrace peace.

Naa Dasana expressed his readiness to engage in a peaceful resolution with the other faction to ensure stability at Bimbilla.

He thanked members of the delegation for the visit and expressed the hope that their efforts would ensure peace at Bimbilla.

Members of the delegation later visited the residence of the Nakpa- Naa, the other royal faction in the Bimbilla chieftaincy dispute, but attempts to speak to the elders proved futile.
