Pipiro Table Tennis Championship Ends In Success

Hundreds of Table Tennis supporters and enthusiasts converged at Adabraka, Warehouse to witness the maiden edition of Pipiro Table-Tennis Open Tournament.

The tournament, the first of its kind was part of a set of activities, “Operation exhibit your skills” launched by Pipiro Concept, an organisation that seeks to empower the youth through sports and educational activities.

Nigerian ping pong player, Favour Ayobami beat Joshua Okine 3-1 in the final to win the maiden edition of the Pipiro Table Tennis tournament held at Adabraka in Accra last Saturday.

Emmnanuel Asante defeated ace spinner Lord Fiifi 3-0 in the third and fourth placed match to place third in the one day tournament.

Ayobami was rewarded with GHC500 cash prize and a trophy, Okine received GHC300 and a trophy, Asante got GHC200 and trophy and Fiifi took home a GHC100.

The competition witnessed 87 players including two females from Ghana, Togo, Cote D’Ivoire and Nigerian involved in the all play all format of batting, smashing and spinning.
