Jomoro MP Optimistic To Fulfill Campaign Promises

Mr Paul Essien, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP), has expressed optimism to fulfill his campaign promises during his tenure of office.

He gave the assurance when he addressed the chiefs and people of the area on a "Thank you tour".

The Constituency First Vice Chairman of the Party, Mr Matthew Ndah made this known to the GNA in an interview at Half-Assini on Tuesday.

He said the programme, which began on January 27 would cover all the 10 Area Councils.

He disclosed that the programme which was temporarily suspended would continue when Parliament went on recess.

Mr Ndah expressed gratitude to the Constituents for the confidence reposed in the MP, adding that Mr Essien had promised to meet the needs and aspirations of the people.

He said the MP was of the view that with the 2016 general election over, what mattered most was development and progress.

Mr Essien defeated Mr Francis Kabenlah Anaman of the National Democratic Congress to win the seat for the first time for NPP.
