Eastern Regional Minister Paid A Courtesy Call On New Juabeng Chiefs

The Eastern regional minister, Mr Eric Kwakye Darffour has paid a courtesy call on the chiefs and elders of the New Juabeng Traditional Council to officially introduce himself, seek their permission,support, blessings and guidance to enable him deliver his assigned duty effectively to the progress of the Eastern region.

The minister was accompanied by regional New Patriotic Party (NPP) executives and regional coordinators from the coordinating council to the palace.

Addressing the Chiefs, the Regional Minister said he would partner the Municipal and District Chief Executives (MDCEs) to bring development to the region.

He pledged the traditional authorities, his full commitment to serve the region well.

The Krontihene and Acting paramount Chief of New Juabeng Traditional Council, Baffour Nyantekyi TuTu Boateng, who hosted the entourage charged the new minister to intervene in addressing the challenges affecting development of the region.

Nana Tutu Boateng, hinted on indiscriminate issuing of building permits by the Municipal Assembly, poor sanitation and lack of drainages, exclusion of traditional rulers in decision making and selling of government land by the regional lands commission to private individuals of no account or benefit to the development of the region.

He called on the minister and his new government to help deliver the region from the menace.
