The police have mounted a search for a businessman, who allegedly swindled another businessman of GH¢52,150, in Accra.

Gilbert Dodoo Harrison, was reported to have been supplied with diapers by the victim, Djenge Davies Bortieh, the Chief Executive of Djengevies Enterprise Limited, and later bolted.

A reliable source at the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) told The Ghanaian Times that a bench warrant had been issued by an Accra circuit court for the arrest of Harrison.

The source said on May 23 2014, Mr Bortieh, the complainant in the case, supplied the suspect with Bibish diapers and wipe products worth GH¢52,150 upon request by the suspect.

According to the police source, upon receipt of the products, the suspect made part payment for GH¢4,000, and issued different cheques for GH¢10,000 and GH¢20,000 in the name of the complainant’s company to be cashed four days later.

The source said Mr Bortieh presented the cheques to the bank but they were dishonoured and a report was made to the police.
