Issues of land litigation has constantly been on the rise in Ghana and to deal with the problem, Subah has built a National Digital Mapping And Addressing System to bring the situation to its barest minimum.

Chairman of the Parliamentary Select Committe on Lands and Forestry, Hon. Benito Owusu-Bio in an intteractionn with the press after he led the committee to tour the facility, commended Subah for coming out with this bold initiative.

According to him, the Select Committe on Lands and Forestry is mainly concerned about the challenges facing the land administration project in Ghana and with the technology Subah has introduced, he is convinced government would fully support them to succeed.

Hon. Benito Owusu-Bio stated that ‘with the bold initiative that they have taken by investing their own money into the project, it is laudable. With what I have seen, I wouldn’t be surprised if the government becomes interested and joins as a partner’.

He however called for optimal collaboration between sector agencies like the lands commission, local government authorities, MMDAs and the security services. In his opinion, such collaboration would generate greater ideas that could be embedded into the project to make it more laudable and efficient.

He further explained that the nation would benefit greatly from project through revenue to be earned on tax.

Touching on the intriguing thing he observed during the tour, Hon. Benito Owusu-Bio revealed that “the beautiful part was to see the data centre where the ladies were calling landowners to verify data that has been collected from them...This is real and would bring litigation to the barest minimum.”
