The President his Excellency Nana Akuffo Addo has been urged to appoint a knowledgeable, hardworking and dedicated person as the Metropolitan Chief Executive of Tema.

An Executive Member of the Tema East branch of the NDC Mr Stephen Ashitey-Adjei popularly known as Moshake made the appeal in an interview with Peace fm .

He said Tema needs an MCE who will be a father for all the people in the metropolis irrespective of their political affiliation and effectively steer the affairs of the area for development .

He said the Tema Metropolitan Security Council for instance is made up of highly experienced and very educated people hence the need to appoint an MCE who can match their pedigree.

He emphasized the need to place the interest of the metropolis above partisan interest.
