Bimoba Chiefs Laud President’s One Village One Dam Policy

The Chiefs of the Bimoba Traditional area in the Garu-Tempane District, have commended President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo- Addo for the one village one dam policy, which is aimed at promoting agriculture activities in the three regions of the north.

The policy is meant to promote agriculture activities during and after the rainy season in the northern part of the country, including dry season farming and animal husbandry that will help farmers earn more and improve their standard of living.

Naba Danzuar, Divisional Chief of the Kpikpira Traditional made the commendation on behalf of his colleagues at the just ended Daanjuar festival celebration at Kpikpira, saying the year round farming would engage the youth productively and discourage them from migrating in search of jobs.

He said there were many communities in the area that would benefit from the programme as poverty among other things was becoming a threat to development.

He appealed to the government to include the area in its list of priority communities to benefit from the programme.

Naba Danzuar urged the people of the area living in the Diaspora to patronize the festival, celebrated annual, so as to learn more about their culture and expose their children to the traditions and participate in discussions that would promote development in the area.
