Step Down - NDC Youth To Azorka

A youth group calling itself concerned NDC youth in the northern region are calling on the northern regional chairman of National Democratic Congress, Chief Azorka and some regional executives to step down.

The youth believed that the party lost the elections in the region due to the incompetence of Azorka and some party executives.

Salman Faris, convener of the group said, “we lost the 2016 election due to some of their incompetence, they were not up to their expectation as campaign coordinators for the region which made us lose 14 seat to the ruling NPP in the region.”

“The chairman in the heat of the campaigns squandered and diverted monies and incentives provided especially during the presidents tour to the region. We the concern youth of the NDC and the future members of the party will no longer sit aloof and allow Azorka to destroy and condemn the party into perpetual opposition in Ghana politics. We will resist any attempt by Azorka and his thugs to destroy the NDC”

They stated that “eventhough the signals were clear that about 90 percent of the party’s foot solders showed signs of empathy, the chairman never changed his way and rather used his thugs known as Azorka boys to intimidate party members who shared divergent views. The 13 member fact-finding committee therefore does not need to look beyond chief Azorka because the NDC lost 14 seats to NPP largely because of him.”

Regional treasurer of the party, Mr Rahid Tanko was also mentioned. They have challenged him to come out to deny that the money which he claimed to have been stolen from his car was actually stolen by him. He is a liar the money is with him and the same incident happened in the 2016 election.
