“Accra Great Olympics Players Must Be Confident On The Field”

Accra Great Olympics suffered another defeat in the Ghana Premier League, at the hands of city rivals, Accra Hearts of Oak last Sunday.

Former head coach of the side, Joseph E. Sarpong in an interview with the GNA Sports stated that, they must have trust and confidence in their qualities to overcome their opponents in the league.

"Olympics have a good team with some young players, but there are little things, they need to get right on the field of play.

"They should have self belief, that’s the most important thing, ‘the can do spirit’, if you are playing a rivalry game against Accra Hearts of oak, you need to have that guts to beat them, because Hearts is a big side and you must be confident in yourself to upset them.

"Accra Great Olympics is an old traditional club with a strong traditional background and the boys must realize that. They get clear chances to beat their opponents but they fail to do so.

"I think Godwin Attram should be on the field for Olympics, because of his vast experience and leadership style, he has what it takes to salvage the club. Olympics must find their feet as early as possible, because we are in the seventh week and they still at the bottom of the league log which is not good at all, they should improve on their performance.

"I don’t think they have any big technical problem, they have been playing well in their games and we understand that it is work in progress but they should be confident on the field”. Coach Sarpong said
