The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Youth at tamale south constituency of the Northern region have angrily cautioned President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to stop delaying their 2016 parliamentary candidate Mr Yakubu Yussif  as far as his appointment is concerned.

According to the youth, their constituency has been rejected to the extent that the office of the president has refused any appointment to their candidate.

Alhaji Baba Alhassan, a convener to the group stated that, ”We have no option than to petition the president and leaders of our party to ensure that Mr Yakubu Yussif is appointed at the end of the day”

If he is given any portfolio in government, certainly he will deliver for the Akufo Addo administration because he has increased the votes of the constituency without any funding from the party”

Mr Yusif has worked with the party since Dankwa/Busia/Dombo tradition.We want to state without any equivocation that, Mr Yusif even before he became the parliamentary candidate, served the party at various levels. As the appointing authority, we members of the party in the Tamale South Constituency wish to crave his indulgence as the commander in-chief of the Ghana armed forces to consider appointing Mr Yusif”.

The youth believes that lack of resources always hinders the party’s success in the area and at the back of it all there is a related issue which the appointment can curb.
