Our Disagreements Are Not Characterized By Acid Baths - NDC Communicator

Kwaku Asafo Adjei, National Democratic Congress (NDC) communication has observed that even though members of the party in the last couple of weeks have been at each other’s throats, he takes solace in the fact that it is not as violent as the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

“Our disagreements have not been characterized by acid baths and bloodbaths like our opponents in the NPP who have also had their own divisions. One thing that makes me happy is that, upon all the confusion and misunderstanding, nobody has poured acid on somebody, nobody has been killed, nobody has been stabbed, and nobody has pulled a gun, a knife or machetes” he revealed.

Contributing to the recent disagreements in the party following fallouts of the 2016 general elections, he expressed surprise that some few months in opposition party members have started misbehaving and apportioning blames on who did what and who did not.

He described Joseph Naabu who is said to have sparked the latest controversy in the party as a traitor and is not surprise because he is a brother of Northern Regional Chairman Daniel Bugri Naabu.

“Let me state categorically clear that Naabu is a traitor….I am not surprised at all because Naabu’ elder brother is Bugri Naabu”, he said.

He called for truce in the party and appealed to those talking in the media making the party a subject of ridicule that they will have themselves to blame if by their actions and inactions they end up making the party unpopular.

“We have tasked a committee to investigate circumstances that cause the party’s defeat in 2016. I will urge all party members to allow the committee to finish its work and present its report so that we can identify our flaws and move ahead. The current turmoil in the party is not what will guarantee us power in 2020”, he observed.
