Eric Donkor Optimistic Kotoko Will Triumph Over Inter Allies

Eric Donkor, Deputy Captain of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, is optimistic the club will triumph over Inter Allies, when they meet at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Kumasi, on Sunday.’

        Speaking with the GNA Sports, Donkor said the players have gotten over their painful defeat to Accra Hearts of Oak and will bounce back with jam-packed energy as they face Inter Allies on Sunday afternoon.

         “We are working hard towards the Inter Allies game on Sunday, it is definitely going to be a tough one, but I am sure we will defeat them.

           “I have not really monitored all their games, but we have watched some of their videos at camp and I can say they have a quality side which is difficult to overcome.

           “We have been able to overcome the painful defeat against Hearts of Oak and we need to prove it on Sunday, it was a painful one, but as a footballer, you need to accept it and prepare for the next challenge. We have put it behind us already because we have matured players in the team and it’s easy for them to accept such defeats.” He noted.

        “Our technical team is mapping out a new strategy for the Inter Allies game and we confident of victory.

The Deputy Captain of Kotoko expressed his gratitude to the fans for their unflinching support in the league and urged them to keep supporting the warriors.

       “We are always grateful to our fans for their persistent support, they have been there for us during the difficult moments and we are proud of them. They outnumbered Accra Hearts of Oak supporters in our last away game, which is very impressive. I will urge them to come in their numbers to the stadium on Sunday as we triumph over Inter Allies”. Donkor stated.
