Confine NDC Members To Witch Camps - Abronye DC

Maverick Brong Ahafo Regional Youth Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe wants members of the opposition National Democratic Congress who are opposed to plans by the current government to recover monies owed or stolen from the state to be confined to witches camps.

He described such individuals as worst than witches who must not be allowed to mingle with the ordinary citizenry because they do not mean well for the country.

“I think some politicians especially the NDC members are witches and should immediately be sent to the Gambaga witch camp because they are no different from them.

“So the NDC members expect the NPP government to laugh because if Ibrahim’s conduct. Just imagine the huge money involved, even the person in the middle of this issue has said he will pay the money and so I don’t understand why those around him are fighting for him.

“A person who does not have the nation at heart has issued dud cheques to an institution which is against the laws of the country.

“Our party is in power now and we have the majority hand in parliament and so if the NDC are not comfortable when people are punished for squandering states money then the majority should make a law that will see to it that all those who are against such act and are always talking about political witch hunting are transferred to the Gambaga witch camp because they are all witches and don’t want the country to move forward” he said.

Contributing to a panel discussion on the invitation of Ibrahim Mahama brother of former President John Dramani Maham by the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) Abronye DC said state institutions must be allowed to work without interference from politicians.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Engineers and Planners who is under investigation by EOCO was last week was ordered to pay GH¢12.7m to the Ghana Revenue Authority by May 8, 2017.

The amount represents duty for goods he cleared at the Tema Port with the said dud cheques in 2015 plus interest. The interest on the amount was worked by the Ghana Revenue Authority.

Ibrahim Mahama is allegedly being investigated by EOCO over specific cheques he issued to the customs division of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) at the ports to clear heavy duty equipment imported into the country.
