OmniBank MD Scoops SME Financial Services CEO Of The Year Award

At the just ended 7th Ghana Entrepreneur & Corporate Executive Awards, Managing Director of OmniBank, Philip Oti-Mensah was recognized and awarded for his exceptional contribution to small and medium scale businesses.

He was adjudged the SME Financial Services Chief Executive for 2016. Speaking to Peacefmonline.com after receiving the award, an elated Mr. Philip Oti-Mensah stated that "This award means so much to me and it's not the first time, we won similar awards globally. This is just a symbol of further hard work for me and my team".

He continued that "we want to work hard and bring banking to the doorstep of SME. At the moment SME do not lack financial support but rather advisory services and management capacity to run their business so that they can become successful”.

The award in his view would serve as motivation for OmniBank to break through the walls of Ghana and extend their operations to other countries.

"I think that entrepreneurs are too comfortable and some of these awards unfortunately make most of them relax and become complacent but I want to say that this will only be the beginning.

There are only a few Ghanaian businesses that are performing globally; we are too comfortable within the walls of Ghana so I will encourage them to work harder and go beyond Ghana", he urged.

This year’s ceremony was under the theme: Promoting economic growth through private sector development and corporate governance.’

The Ghana Entrepreneur & Corporate Executive Awards instituted in 2010, seeks to identify the tremendous contributions of the companies, entrepreneurs and corporate executives to the development of the country.
