Late JB Danquah & Wife Weren’t On Good Terms - Family Reveals

The family of the late Member of Parliament for Abuakwa North, J.B Danquah Adu has petitioned President Akufo-Addo to institute fresh investigations into his death.

The family quotes the police to have claimed that the accused person, Daniel Asiedu, who was recently committed to stand trial for murder, robbery and conspiracy to rob, once said that he was hired by someone to go and kill the MP.

Commenting on the petition to the President, the family spokesperson, Kwaku Solomon on Okay FM’s Ade Akye Abia Morning Show asserted that the late JB Danquah’s wife, Ivy is a suspect in the murder of the MP and must be arrested for questioning because she was living with him when he died.

He explained that the police report says he died around 1:25am but his wife whose room is next door to the late MP called the police around 2:20am to report bout the noise going on in her husband’s room.

Between the times she called the police and the time he died, what happened? And why did she wait till that time before calling the police to report the incident? Before JB Danquah died, for almost 2 months, they lived in separate rooms due to misunderstanding between them,” he asserted.

The family strongly believes that Ivy knows something about JB Danquah’s death and so she must be arrested for questioning. She could at least have called JB’s family members during the attack in his room no matter the level of misunderstanding going on because he was your wedded husband,” he alleged.

He mentioned that the family of JB Danquah is fed up with the way the police is handling the death of the former Member of Parliament, hence their petition to President Akufo Addo to open fresh investigations because their family suspects the wife is behind the killing.

He again revealed that “after the death of JB, we saw blood stain in his wife’s night gown and that is why the police must investigate her because they have not been sharing the same bed for more than a month”.

“The family again saw that someone had washed off blood stain at JB Danquah’s bathroom after killing him. There was no blood stain on his bed when the family visited the crime scene and we believe the killer is more than one person,” he recounted.

He further called on the police to have JB Danquah’s driver arrested as he gave conflicting reports to the police on the actual time he brought JB home at that midnight; alleging that the driver is currently working at a place which raises eyebrows.

He was of the firm belief that the ladder which was found hanging on the window of the late JB Danquah was a camouflage because the killers walked into his bedroom before he arrived at home to meet his untimely death.

This is why we want the President to charge the police to open up investigations again over the death of JB Danquah because there are a lot of inconsistencies in the incident leading to his death. The wife must be arrested for questioning and the truth will come out,” he charged.

But if the wife decides not to tell the truth about the death of JB Danquah, her two children will one day ask about their father’s death,” he added.
