Projects Started By Previous Govt Will Be Continued - Kwahu East DCE Assures

The Kwahu East District Assembly members in the Eastern Region have massively endorsed President Akufo- Addo’s nominee for the position of District Chief Executive (DCE).

Mr. Isaac Kwame Agyapong 32 years of age and an Educationist who is the youngest DCE Nominee from the President in the Eastern Region received a total of 27 Yes votes as against 5 No votes of the total valid votes cast of 32.

Speaking to the media after the massive endorsement, Hon. Agyapong called for total support from all and sundry as the development of the district is going to receive a huge boost.

He however assured the people in Kwahu East District that every project which started and uncompleted by the previous government such as hospital, and schools will not be abandoned.

“I will continue for the benefit of everyone in this District and also make sure that more of that will come to areas where they are struggling for development”, he assured.

Hon. Kwame Agyapong further notified the chiefs in the district that his doors are always opened to receive their inputs, advice and directions to help develop the district as he is in to serve and not to be served.

He urged everyone to come on board to help make the president’s vision and policies for the district come through, especially the One-District One-Factory and other well intended policies.

He therefore showed appreciation to the Assembly Members, Chiefs and the Elders of Kwahu Abetifi for their unflinching support.

“My resounding endorsement means there is unison and clarion call from the king makers to be the representative of the President. I promise not to disappoint this confidence reposed in me,” he assured.

Present at the event were Hon. Bryan Acheampong, Member of Parliament and Minister of State at the Office of the President, and Mr. Kwadwo Ofosu Kumi, Chairman of Council of Patrons for NPP Abetifi Constituency.

Again, Director General for NITA, Mr. Jeffrey Konadu Addo, DCE elect and President Nominees for Kwahu South and Kwahu West were all present respectively to witness the confirmation of Mr. Isaac Kwame Agyapong as DCE for Kwahu East District Assembly.
