An Aluminium Fabricator accused of having sex with his wife’s younger sister has appeared before an Accra Circuit Court charged with defilement.

          Michael Sackitey has denied the offence and is on GHC30, 000 bail with three sureties who are to be of substance.

          He is to reappear on June 13 before the court presided over by Mrs Abena Oppong Adjin-Doku.

          Prosecuting Detective Inspector Kofi Atimbire said the complainant is a receptionist at a Hotel in Accra and the victim a 15-year old Junior High Student and a younger sister of the complainant.

          Prosecution said Sackitey has been married to the complainant for the past eight years and they have two kids. The complainant was living with the accused, the two kids and the victim in a chamber and hall room at Oyibi.

          Inspector Atimbire said two years ago the complainant left for town, while the victim was in the bedroom preparing to go and take her bath, Sackitey entered the bedroom hugged the victim, removed the towel wrapped around her chest and had sex with her on the floor.

          Prosecution said later a misunderstanding ensued between the complainant and Sackitey so the complainant left her matrimonial home leaving behind the victim and her two kids because accused person threatened not to take care of them.

          Prosecution said the accused took advantage of his wife’s absence and defiled the victim again that night.

      He said the complainant then went to stay at Ashiyie also near Oyibi with the victim and her two kids.

          He said in January this year the victim and the two children visited the accused and again he had sex with the victim.

          Prosecution said in all three sexual encounters, the accused person threatened to kill the victim if she disclosed the incident to any one and also stop paying her fees.

          On April 15, this year, the complainant detected that the victim was moody and when she was quizzed, she narrated this sexual encounters with the accused.

          A report was made to the Police and a medical form was issued to the victim to seek medical attention and accused was arrested and charged after investigations.
