Waste managements companies meet stakeholders

The managements of Global Entrepreneurial Endeavours and B. A. Perazim Incorporated, two US-based companies involved in waste recycling and construction on Thursday met stakeholders in their bid to establish subsidiaries in the country. The meeting was to afford them an opportunity to explain to stakeholders their operations and benefits to the country. Addressing the stakeholders, Mr. Adrian Oliviera, Vice President of Global Entrepreneurial Endeavours, a waste recycling company, said the operations included recycling all forms of waste into energy and other materials used in manufacturing cement. He explained that the operations were designed to trap waste entering the soil and water bodies to exclude disposable materials such as metals and plastic. "Through our bio-sphere technology, we can turn biochemical waste, construction waste and all other forms of waste into electricity generation for the benefit of all," Mr. Oliviera said. He said the technology used household waste as fuel to solve some of challenges in the society and was operating in Brazil, China, the Philippines, Cape Verde and South Africa. Mr. Ransford Bawa, President of B.A. Perazim Incorporated, a construction company, said the group offered affordable housing for people and organisations that needed accommodation for their workers. "We are in the business of providing affordable housing units, and the prices of our houses are 40 to 50 per cent lower than the others," he said. Mr. Bawa said the company intended to establish branches in all the 170 metropolitan, municipal and district assemblies in the country to provide accommodation for the people. Mr. Akwasi Oppong Fosu, Head of Services, Local Government Service, commended the investors for their initiative to assist government to manage waste and provide decent accommodation for the people. He pledged to collaborate with the investors to ensure the success of their initiatives for the benefit of Ghanaians.
