The Executive Secretary of the Progressive People's Party (PPP), Richard Nii Armah, has advised government to prioritize the visibility of personnels from the Ghana Police Service.

In his view, doing so would curb immoral actions particularly, lynching of alleged suspects which is a rampant occurence in our various societies.

Richard Nii Armah made this known to viewers of ATV's Anopa Bosuo show during an interaction with the host, Nana Yaw Fianko. His comment were in relation to the untimely death of Major Maxwell Mahama.

"The government should employ more youth in the police service and make patrolling in the various communities a priority. The police service should also be provided with more patrol cars for urgent reports", Richard Nii Armah said.

Moving on, he explained that lynching of suspects to death was becoming a culture in Ghana and urged government to punish those behind the act to save innocent souls.

In venting his frustration concerning the death of late Major Mahama and several others who died through the same process, he stated that "This is getting out of hand".

He called on Ghanaians to side with government if it decides to use the death of the innocent soldier to pass new laws which would be harsh on those who lynch suspects to death.
