Fmr Prez Mahama's Aide Speaks On His Election 2020 Return

An Aide to former President John Dramani Mahama, Mrs. Joyce Bawa Motagri has described as 'premature' calls for former President John Dramani Mahama to contest election 2020.

Speaking on Okay FM's morning show 'Ade Akye Abia',  she explained that even though there have been calls from some party faithfuls for the former President to contest 2020, he is yet to consider them.

"But for now what I can say is that he has not asked anybody to go round to solicit for information from any group or party members. The President is obviously doing well and thinking about his foundation. Calls for his come back are relatively premature" she disclosed.

A statement from the office of the former President indicated that “some members of the party are seeking to solicit information from executives and members of the NDC, claiming they are being sponsored by the Office of H.E John Dramani Mahama.”

The statement which was signed by Mrs Joyce Mogtari, advised the culprits to desist from such acts, adding the President “had not constituted any team to undertake a post Kwesi Botchwey Committee survey” as it is being reported.
