What is that man, Frank Doyi, an Activism Co-ordinator of Amnesty International, a human rights group, saying? That moron is saying that if the squatters of Sodom and Gomorrah are evicted, a public crises will erupt. What does he mean? That government should allow the squatters to be there while we continue to pay so much cedis a day in terms of the delay in executing the Korle-Lagoon Reclamation Project? Talking from his stomach, he said if the squatters, who had been given notices many months ago and even lost a court battle, are forced from their �homes�, �chaos and anarchy will follow� This man should be arrested immediately for inciting the squatters against the government. For how could this Amnesty man says that the squatters have no means to leave the area and no place to moved to? Where they not having places of abode before they came to squat on the Old Fadama Land without any permission? First and foremost, let�s ask this Amnesty man who brought these people to that slum. Is it the Mills government or have the chiefs and people of Ga Mashie granted them the right to settle on the lands? Where were these groups of human rights when these people were degrading the area turning it into a den of criminals and a health prone abode? For how could some people, who voluntarily squatted on a piece of land, be granted �adequate alternative arrangement�? And what is the Amnesty International to force the Accra Mayor, Alfred Vanderpuije, to listen to them. Are they God? Trying to frame the government with international criticism and legal international obligations are sheer stupidity from this Amnesty man. If he and his group are so worried about their darling squatters at Sodom and Gomorrah, they should find an alternative place for them instead of spewing foolishness to the detriment of the ears of Ghanaians. The slum of Sodom and Gomorrah must go and go it must. Who are the Frank Doyis and the Amnesty International to thwart the work of an elected democratic government and burden the Mills administration with debts because of squatters? The likes of Frank Doyi are the neo colonialists Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah talked about and Doyi should continue to be licking the backsides of this colonial institution to his own satisfaction. Frank Doyi and Amnesty International indeed! Frank Doyi Should Up
