Editorial: Kudos To Ghana Police IGP AYEKOO!!!!!

Since his appointment, Mr. Paul Quaye, the Inspector-General of Police, has exhibited excellence, and the Police Service by the vigilance and discipline has proven that with the right leadership, its personnel can live up to expectation. In the last few months, one can point to several achievements the Service has chalked in terms of providing general security and protecting the limb and property. The Ghanaian Democrat has in the past questioned the ability of the Ghana Police Service to apprehend culprits to regain the confidence of the citizenry in view of the escalating crimes that went unresolved. Today Ghanaians can proudly speak of the Police Service, as it is now confronting criminals and the CID is conducting proper investigations that are leading to the arrest of perpetrators of crimes that had occurred since the time of the NPP regime to date. In this regard, the arrest of the robbers who struck Ecobank at Madina and downing of armed robbers across the country are worth commending. The Service is also showing sterling determination that use the cloak of their profession to aid and abet crime! We say Kudos to Ghana Police Service, and Ayekoo to IGP Quaye!
