Mrs Theresa Adomako-Tawiah, District Chief Executive for Atwima Mponua, is supporting the education of 10 brilliant but needy students of the Nyinahin Catholic Senior High School.
He told GNA that she was touched by the plight of the children and promised to do more to promote education in the area.
Mrs Adomako-Tawiah called on individuals and organisations to assist children of poor parents to complete their education.
"We should all accept the responsibility of assisting these young people to have a brighter future."
Mrs Adomako-Tawiah said that education was the most important and effective weapon for fighting poverty, ignorance and diseases in society.
