Christian Mboa Kuw, a benevolent religious society at the weekend dedicated a GH�30,000 edifice in Tema of its members. The dedication of the building christened "Christian Mboa Kuw Hall," and built out of members' contribution, coincided with the commemoration of the society's 40th Anniversary Celebration. Mr William Abakah, National President of the Society urged benevolent societies to initiate programmes that would help shape the lives of majority of the people in society. Mr Abakah, said such societies would be doing a great disservice to the communities in which they operate, if their activities fail to impact positively on the lives of residents. He paid glowing tribute to the founding fathers of the society, whose foresight, tireless sacrifices and dedication in the last four decades, he said, had made it to stand the test of time. He urged members to remain steadfast, resolute and committed to the course of the society so as to achieve its set goals. The National President said plans were underway to construct an ultra modern hostel facility in Tema to help address accommodation problems facing students in the Metropolis. Madam Grace Efuwa Stephens, President of the Tema branch of the Society, appealed to members to pay their dues promptly to enable it initiate programmes to improve the lot of the people. Prince Akwasi Freeman, Greater-Accra Regional Secretary of the Society, advised members to guard against divisive and negative tendencies, and forge ahead in unity. Prince Freeman further urged members to be regular and punctual at meetings, and warned inactive ones to change their attitudes, so that collectively, members could execute programmes to better the lot of the people.
