Parents in the Cape Coast metropolis in the Central Region have lauded the government for implementing the free Senior High School education policy.
They said the policy will ease the enormous financial burden on parents and will enable them invest in other productive ventures.
Speaking in an interview with DAILY GUIDE, Madam Sarah Eshun said offering free and equal access to quality education was pivotal to accelerating national development.

The Headmaster of Mfantsipim Senior High School, Mr Alfred Oduro, has appealed to parents to regularly attend Parents Teacher Association (PTA) meetings to deliberate on the progress of their wards.
He cautioned that charges would be imposed on parents who refuse to attend the meetings.
Mr Oduro made this known during a general meeting with the parents whose children had gained admission to the school in Cape Coast.
He appealed to parents to advise their children to study hard in school and refrain from engaging in acts that would be detrimental to their academic pursuit.
