National Organizer for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Kofi Adams has indicated that the lifeline of his party is still strong and solid considering the number of party members who came out to support the protest against August 4 as Founders’ Day.

According to him, the number of NDC members who joined in the solidarity march to support Dr. Kwame Nkrumah’s birthday September 21 to remain Founder’s Day, shows that the party is still alive.

Speaking on Okay FM’s Ade Akye Abia Morning Show, Kofi Adams lauded the NDC members for their contributions in the solidarity walk but quickly implored others who didn’t join the march to let go of whatever pain they harbour.

“Let me take this opportunity to thank NDC members who came out to join the solidarity march to support Nkrumah. Their contributions truly show that the party is truly alive and those who still feel pain out of whatever it is, through the period the party was in power and the cause of the lost of power, this is the right time for everyone to shred that pain off”, he implored.

He again charged National Democratic Congress (NDC) members who still feel pain in the party to focus on the rebuilding of the party as nothing can be done with the spilt milk in the party.

“The milk is already being spilt and so you cannot continue to cry over the spilt one. We need to protect the remaining and prevent further spill. They should join for us to work hard; everybody has a role to play in the party”, he appealed.

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has embarked on a Solidarity March in protest against August 4 Founders' Day.

Scores of the party members and sympathizers marched through the streets of Nima, Kwame Nkrumah Circle, UTC and to the Community Center before reaching up at the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum.

Addressing the party after the march was their National Chairman, Kofi Portuphy who noted that the party will "team up with all progressive forces and all well-meaning Ghanaians to resist the Danquah clique to impose their family history on Ghana".

"The NDC serves notice that should President Akufo-Addo and the clique succeed in cancelling the September 21st as Founders' Day celebration of Osagyeo, the party reserves the right to restore the day as such when God willing, it assumes office in 2020", he further stressed.
