TDC hands over lands to ASHMA for development

The management of the Tema Development Corporation (TDC), on Monday handed over some parcels of land totalling GH�117,000, to the Ashaiman Municipal Assembly (ASHMA) for development purposes. The lands, residential plots and an open space cost GH�50,000 and GH�67,000 respectively. Mr Joe Abbey, acting Managing Director of TDC handed over the offer letters and site plans on the lands to Numo Adinortey Addison, Ashaiman Municipal Chief Executive at a ceremony at Ashaiman. Mr Abbey said as a young assembly, ASHMA would put the lands to good use for the benefit of residents. He said TDC was in the process of streamlining processes for the acquisition of land in the Metropolis so that in future, developing of lands without permits would become a thing of the past. Mr Addison thanked TDC and hoped the offer would help strengthen the cordial relations between the Assembly and the Corporation. He promised TDC that the lands would be utilized for the purposes for which they were allocated. Officials from both TDC and ASHMA witnessed the handing-over.
