Kuffuor: "I Did Not Say F...k Off To Veep's Convoy"

Former Bayern Munich Defender and ex-Black Stars Deputy Skipper, Samuel Osei Kuffuor, is disputing claims by the security detail of the second gentleman of the land, John Dramani Mahama, that he gesticulated insolently at the convoy of the Vice President, whiles in traffic. Reports say Mr. John Mahamas convoy was repeatedly obstructed by the former national stars vehicle near Nima 441, a suburb of Accra on Tuesday afternoon. The Vice President was on his way from his office for an official assignment. The head of security in the Veeps fleet of cars was said to have indicated to other road users to make room for the convoy, but this allegedly incurred the wrath of Samuel Osei Kuffuor who reportedly disregarded the signal. Mr. John Jinapor, Spokesman for the Vice President, who confirmed the incident to PEACEFM News@6pm, disclosed that the security personnel, obviously infuriated by "Tugah's" actions nearly arrested the ex-Ghana international for his lack of road manners, but were impressed upon by the Veep not to go ahead with their intention. Moments after his intervention he (Vice-President) was told by the security personnel that the driver was Sammy Kuffuor, whereupon he laughed but was pleasantly shocked somewhat because he felt as a former national footballer, such behaviour was unbecoming of him. But he asked the police to forgive himwe dont intend pressing any charges against him (Kuffuor)I was present at the scene but I spoke with the Vice-President after the incident occurred, Mr. Jinapor said. But the gentleman at the centre of the controversy, Sammy Kuffuor a.k.a Tugah has categorically denied being disrespectful and insulting. Speaking on AdomFm, the former ace defender said he never poked his middle finger at the convoy, and insisted that the information put out in the public domain is a misrepresentation of facts and not a reflection of what exactly transpired. I didnt even know it was the Vice-Presidents car, there were in the other lanethen they (Veeps convoy) tried veering into my lane...there were about five cars ahead of me and I could only give them right of passage if the car ahead of me drove slightly away, otherwise any attempt to move my vehicle could result in me hitting the rear of the carI didnt know it the Veeps car," he said. According to Sammy Kuffuor; "the person (security detail) f.d us, its just like driving and a taxi driver fking you and you respond with equal measure, thats it.the incident lasted barely two secondsso I dont understand the hullabaloo about thisthere are more important things that should engage the attention of Ghanaians.I believe in God and I dont think I will put up this kind of behaviourwhat will I gain from being rude to the Vice Presidentthe information put out in the public domain is wrong, he stressed.
