Bosomtwe NDC elects new executive

Dr Joseph Oteng-Agyei, the Energy Minister, has urged functionaries of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) to remain steadfast and rally solidly behind the government to deliver on its mandate. They should avoid acts that tend to send wrong signals about the unity and cohesion of the party. He was addressing a delegates' conference of the NDC held at Kokoado to pick new officers for the Bosomtwe Constituency. Dr Oteng-Agyei said they should help the people to appreciate steps the Mills Administration is taking to fix the national economy and make life better for all Ghanaians. He reminded the Constituency executive about the need for teamwork and to ensure that the party's structures at the polling station level are functional. Mr Alex Sawyer Ativor, the acting Regional Chairman, urged them to intensify the membership drive to win more supporters for the party. The incumbent Constituency Chairman, Mr Kwame Amankwah, retained his position, beating off the challenge from, P.K. Prah, in a poll supervised by the Electoral Commission. Other officers elected are Mr Yaw Boateng, Vice Chairman, Mr Isaac Kwaku Nyame, Secretary, Mr Daniel Osei Kwabena, Treasurer, Mr Matthew Bio, Organizer, and Mr James Owusu Wiafe, Propaganda Secretary.
