The Editors Forum, Ghana (EFG), on Thursday congratulated the new chairman of the National Media Commission (NMC), Mr. Kabral Blay-Amihere, and other members and expressed the hope that they would work to advance journalism in the country.
A congratulatory message addressed to Mr. Blay-Amihere signed by Ms. Ajoa Yeboah-Afari, Chairperson, the EFG, said: "We congratulate you - a fellow editor in the not too distant past - on your membership of the National Media Commission, and especially on your election to the high office of chairman of the NMC. We also congratulate the other new members of the commission.
"It is with satisfaction that we note that the new team is a very fitting replacement for that of Mr. Paul Adu-Gyamfi with which we worked closely.
"We believe that you and the other new commissioners have the same commitment and dedication, and will thus build on the legacy of your predecessors to advance Ghanaian journalism and achieve our common objectives."
The EFG said it looked forward to continuing collaboration with the NMC.
