England Boss Concerned About World Cup Training Pitches

England manager Fabio Capello has expressed concern about the state of the pitches that are to be used by his squad at their training base for next summer's World Cup in South Africa. Indeed, the Italian is considering a move away from Bafokeng Sports Campus near Rustenburg, the planned location of the Three Lions' camp. "We went there and nearly everything is OK, but something is not OK," he said, according to The Times. "The most important thing is the training ground, the standard of the pitch. The pitches are very important with the training, to find the same kind of pitches that we will play matches on. "The hotel is really good. The facilities are really, really good, but the pitches are not great. But we have time. We found a solution for Wembley and we will find a solution with this. [If not] we have options." As for his own team's chances at next summer's tournament, Capello was confident that his team would provide a strong challenge. "I have big confidence in my team and we can beat all the teams," he told Sky Sports News. "But sometime when we are here some players will be okay or not okay. This is a big problem for me. "Not only for me but for all the managers of the other countries, because some players are really important. When we decide the squad, I hope all the best England players will be fit."
