Ex-Prez Kufour, Despite Group Of Companies, Others Donate Towards KABA’s Funeral

Former President Kufour, owner of Despite Group of Companies and businessman Ibrahim Mahama were among the many individuals and companies that have donated towards the late Kwadwo Asare Baffour Acheampong’s funeral.

They made cash donations of undisclosed amounts to the family at the one-week memorial of the late Asempa FM presenter’s passing. The event held at the forecourt of The Multimedia Group at Kokomlemle Saturday saw hundreds come to contribute their widows mite towards the funeral of the late 'Ekosii Sen' presenter.

Apart from cash donations some individuals and companies also donated cartons of their products including alcoholic beverages, soft drinks and water.  This includes Kasapreko Ghana Limited presented cartons Awake Water, Soloku Bitters as well as Royal Bitters.
The Despite Group of Companies, operators of Peace FM, Okay FM and Neat FM donated cash as well as 50 boxes of bottled water.

Global Media Alliance (ETV and Happy FM) presented 10 boxes of bottled water and three boxes of Kasapreko. Representatives of Progressive People's Party (PPP) greeted the family and Multimedia with 15 cartons of bottled water. Atinka Media Village presented 20 cartons of bottled water four crates of drinks.

The late presenters Class of 1999 at Techiman Senior High School should solidarity with the family as they presented 12 boxes of bottled water and four crates of Malt drinks.
Oheneba Kasemba Enterprise also donated 10 cartons of Nsuo Bitters.  The Ghana Independent Broadcasters Association (GIBA) donated 20 boxes of bottled water in support of the funeral.

Assemblywoman for Kokomlemle West, Elizabeth Adomako, where Multimedia operates from supported the family with 10 boxes of bottled water.  Nana Ansah Kwao IV, chief of Akwamu Adumasa, also donated 10 boxes of bottled water, four cartons of Malta drinks as well as 6 packs of soft drinks.  Royal Nick Hotel, at Tema Community 6, commiserated with the family by supporting

KABA died on November 18, 2017, at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital after a short illness. He was survived by a wife, Valentina Ofori Afriyie and a seven-month-old baby girl.

He will be buried on December 16 in Accra, the family head, Elder George Nyarko, disclosed Saturday, at the one-week celebration of the late presenter’s passing.
