PHOTOS: Dr. Osei Kwame, Dr. Ofori Sarpong, Vice President, Others Attend KABA's One Week Observation
Dr. Osei Kwame Despite And Dr. Ernerst Ofori Sarpong, CEOs of Despite Company Limited and Special Group Of Companies respectively, led a delegation to commiserate with the Multimedia Group during the one week observation of late broadcaster, Kwadwo Asare Baffour Acheampong, aka KABA on Saturday November 25, 2017.
Executives of East Legon fitness club were among the delegation. The delegation donated GH¢5000 cash and assorted cartons of special soft drinks to the Multimedia group and the bereaved family.
The solemn event held at the forecourt of the Multimedia Group Limited offices at Kokomlemle, attracted people from different fields of endeavors including multimedia staff coming together, politicians, footballers, musicians, movie stars, fellow media personalities from different media organizations among others.
Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia led a government delegation to mourn with the bereaved family.
Wife of KABA, Valentina Ofori Afriyie, who is also a broadcaster, clad in mourning clothes couldn’t hold back her tears. Group after group filed to greet family, colleagues, friends and multimedia executives, led by CEO Kwasi Twum.
Other familiar faces spotted at the event include: Excellence In Broadcasting (EIB) CEO Bolaray, Ghana Football Association President Kwasi Nyantekyi, Stephen Appiah, Koo Fori, Rapper Kwaw Kese, Abeiku Santana, Kojo Antwi, Daughters Of Glorious Jesus, Lucky Mensah, among others.
The family announced December 15, 16, and 17 as the days for the final funeral rites and burial. A venue for the funeral will however be announced later.
