PHOTOS: 2017 Final Edition Of "Woso Woho" Health Walk Ends On A High

Despite and Special Group of Companies have embarked on a health awareness "Keep Fit" trip to Kitase, near Aburi in the Eastern Region to mark the last edition of this year's "Woso Woho".

The well-attended event was aimed at reducing the risk of developing cardiovascular diseases and also provide long-term health benefits for participants.

The health walk, the third this year, and dubbed "Farmer's Day Edition; Woso Woho 2017", was also organised purposely to encourage the culture of exercising and healthy living among Ghanaians.

Friday’s walk started from the foot of the Aburi mountains at Ayi-Mensah toll-booth up the steep winding mountainous road to the Kitase L.A. School Park; a few metres away from the Peduase Presidential Lodge.

Over 5,000 people including renowned movie actor, Kwadwo Nkansah "Lilwin" participated in the 2017 last edition of the health walk; and participants were later taken through series of aerobics by training instructors from the GYM IKE Fitness centre.

A make-shift health screening center and a massage parlor were also provided at the venue for participants.

The youngest female artist in Ghana and winner of TV3's Talented Kidz show Erica Tandoh, popularly known as DJ Switch, was given the platform to showcase her dexterity on the console.

The health walk was sponsored by MTN, Special Ice, Endpoint Homeopathy, Bulgurium Wheat, Jehovah Is My Friend Chopbar, Bestpoint Savings & Loans, Lapaz Community Hospital, GH Media, Biegya Bitters, Mcvities Biscuits, Best Hands Therapy and Twellium Industries.
