Matthew Amoah Confident Ghana Will Progress

African powerhouse Ghana did not get an easy draw for the 2010 World Cup finals on Friday but highly rated attacker Matthew Amoah is still confident that his nation has what it takes to finish among the best two in a group with Germany, Serbia and Australia. "It's hard to describe what the World Cup means for me. It's something special to play at the World Cup and it's even better that the event takes place in Africa this time," said Amoah to Goal.com. "The people in Ghana are really looking forward to the World Cup. They've been celebrating ever since we qualified and it's a real boost for the African nations that everybody back home supports us like that. "Germany are a very strong team and Serbia finished ahead of France in the qualifiers. We recently lost a friendly game against Australia, so it won't be easy to survive this difficult group. "However, I am full of confidence that Ghana will qualify for the next round."
