The Ghana Football Association has backed Milovan Rajevac to put emotions aside and steer Ghana to a good display when the Black Stars come up against his native Serbia in the opening game of the 2010 World Cup.
Rajevac had said he will be happy not to face Serbia in the group stage because of the quality of their team but he will have to do exactly that.
And as the analysis of Ghana�s group got more detailed on Monday on PEACEFM's flagship programme, "Kokrokoo", there was the touchy subject of where Rajevac�s commitment will lie when he leads the Black Stars out against Serbia.
Ghana Football Association spokesman Randy Abbey was forced to defend the Serbian by when asked Host of the show, Kwami Sefa Kayi, where he thought his (Rajevac's) loyalty will be on June 13 in Pretoria.
�He is a professional and while we cannot kid ourselves and think he loves Ghana more than Serbia in the World Cup it is his professional integrity he looking to enhance. As coach of Ghana he stands to gain a lot if this team does well at the World Cup so there is no worry about where his allegiances will lie,� Abbey on "Kokrokoo".
Abbey also confirmed on the same platform that Rajevac will head to Italy this week on a mission to convince Inter Milan forward Mario Balotelli to join the Ghana train and later for a face-to-face meeting in England with Kevin-Prince Boateng who has declared he wants to play for Ghana now.
