Guess Whos Coming For Dinner Back on TV

Guess whos Coming For Dinner is back on the screens with season two of the TV reality cooking show which features families, beautiful surprises and excellent recipes from seasoned chefs. The show, which returns to the screens on Tuesdays at 9:30pm on GTV, garnered a respectable following when it premiered last year. The programme managed to keep viewers entertained right off the bat till the end of the season. Guess Whos Coming For Dinner, a Charterhouse innovation, with sponsorship from the Rice Master, is in many ways different from all the other culinary shows that are aired on TV. The first major difference is that the programme is shot on location in the homes of lucky families. The presenter, chef and crew travel to homes of individuals who have been set up for a surprise meal by a loved one. The chef then prepares a mouth-watering feast for that special person. After the meal is prepared, the lucky individual is invited to enjoy the meal with his/her family and friends. While they are eating, in walks a surprise guest; usually someone famous or someone the surprised person has been dying to meet. The guest joins in the meal as the group engages in some small talk. Another thing that puts this show in a class of its own is the fact that although it is a culinary one, the focus is not only on the cooking process. A chef accompanies the presenter and crew to add a professional touch to the preparation of some of the most popular Ghanaian and continental dishes. The show also focuses on relationships and their importance to the growth of society as a whole. Hosted by ace broadcaster Doreen Andoh, Guess Whos Coming For Dinner builds beautiful stories around families and brings these stories to life for viewers who cannot help but fall in love with it. Viewers are encouraged to get involved in the programme by nominating loved ones who deserve a wonderful treat this Christmas season.
