BOST To Build New Terminal At Bibiani And New Tank Farm At Debre

The Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Company Limited (BOST) is to a new terminal at Bibiani in the Western Region to augment the operations at the Kumasi terminal.

Also, BOST is to construct a new tank farm at Debre to store more products to curb any shortage in times of low water levels in the Volta Lake at Buipe.
BOST lifts fuel from the Tema Port by road and from Akosombo by the Volta Lake to Buipe.

In addition, a car park will be constructed at Buipe depot in the Northern Region and Bolgatanga depot in the Upper East Region.
The Managing Director (MD) of BOST, Alfred Obeng, announced these when he led his management team on a two-day trip in the Northern and Upper East regions to inspect their depots in Bolgatanga, Savelugu, Buipe and Debre.

The MD affirmed the continuity of BOST’s supply to Burkina Faso through SONABY, a Burkinabe state-owned company responsible for procurement of petroleum products to Burkina Faso.
He announced that BOST would soon extend supply of petroleum products to Mali and Niger.

The trip was rounded up with a visit to the Buipe Wura, Abdulai Jinapor II, where the MD was reminded of BOST’s promise to put up a six-unit block to be used as dormitory at Buipe Senior High School some years ago.

The MD assured Buipe Wura and his elders that BOST would fulfil its promise under his leadership.

The construction of the dormitory is a major project in terms of BOST’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to the people of Buipe in particular and the entire country in general.

The management of BOST reiterated their desire to increase trade profit in the coming years.

As a result, BOST has introduced a Dynamics AX 2012R3 ERP Solution to be used by staff to better align, simplify and standardise the organisation’s processes leading to a more consistent and cost-efficient practices, thus an expected profit margin.

The company’s target for next year is very high and management is optimistic to achieve it despite the huge debt the current administration inherited from “previous administration”.
BOST promises to offer the best for the entire populace as they prepare to face better years ahead.
