The Asokwa District court (one) presided over by his Worship, Mr Peter Oppong Boahen has remanded the three suspected Bantama rapists into juvenile cells.

They are to reappear in court Wednesday December 27, 2017. The charges proffered against the suspects are conspiracy to commit rape to wit rape. In view of the fact that the parties involved in the matter are juveniles, the case was held in camera.

The suspects whose pleas were not taken will be in juvenile cells until Wednesday December 27, 2017 to enable the prosecution to conduct thorough investigations into the matter.

Lawyer for the suspects, John Boamah told the media in court that the police are yet to complete their investigation. Seven schoolboys have subjected a teenage girl to a painful sexual ordeal.

The boys, were seen in a video footage gang-raping the teenager; and according to sources, the crime was perpetrated at Bantama in Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional capital.

Two of the boys are in senior high school (SHS) 1, while the other boy is in junior high school (JHS) 3.
