NPP Loyal Ladies Fight For The Needy

Martha Kodua, the Ashanti Regional captain of the Loyal Ladies, a female wing of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), has passionately called on wealthy people in the country to assist the needy in society, especially inmates of orphanages and rehabilitation centers.

Ms Kodua made the call when the Loyal Ladies, which was formed in 2016 to campaign strenuously to help the then opposition NPP to win the general elections, donated some items to the inmates to the Edwenase Rehabilitation Center.

The Loyal Ladies, who are known for their generosity, presented bags of rice, detergents, toiletries, dining hall tables and mattresses to the inmates.

The NPP group, made up of elegant young ladies, realized that the rehabilitation center lacked several key amenities, especially dining tables, so decided to offer a helping hand to them.

Inmates and managers of the rehabilitation center were elated following the love that the NPP Loyal Ladies showed to them on the day.

Ms Kodua, in her remarks, stated that government alone cannot fund orphanages and rehabilitation centers.

“It is a blessing to give than to receive, therefore I urge people and companies that are making substantial profits in the country to always share them with the needy in society, according to her.

Ms Kodua stated that her group would sustain its good works by sharing the little that they have with the needy in society, notably inmates of orphanages and rehabilitation centers.

She heaped praise on the Kumasi Mayor, Osei Assibey Antwi, who has immensely supported the NPP Loyal Ladies, saying the mayor’s support helped to make the donation possible.
