Vaccination Underway At KUMACA, 3,000 People Targeted

Health officials in the Ashanti Region have vaccinated about 3,000 people against the H1N1 influenza in the Kumasi Academy School.

The number which includes students, teaching and non teaching staff, the GCE flu multi influenza vaccine is to prevent the possible spread of the Virus.

Students who have vaccinated attested to fact that the vaccination is going on smoothly and now they feel more protected.

Meanwhile, Ashanti Regional health director, Dr Emmanuel Tenkorang has assured that, there are enough vaccines for the exercise and surveillance has been strengthened within the Asokore Mampong municipality to contain the virus.

He said ‘’We plan to immunize 3,000 people comprising of students, teaching and non teaching staff.’’

‘’We hope to finish by close the day since we have enough logistics, teaching and non teaching staff if not we will continue tomorrow since we have more than enough.
