I Wouldn't Have Appointed Otiko If I Were President – Lawyer TK

Tweneboa Koduah (TK) the host of ‘Adekye Nsroma’ programme on UTV has stated that he would not have appointed Otiko Afisa Djaba as the Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection if he was the President.

According to the Ace broadcaster who is also a Legal Practitioner, the Gender Ministry requires a personality of a legal background to ‘man’ it.

". . I am a lawyer too and would be a little bias here. I would not have gone for Otiko because that Ministry needs a legal brain due to its peculiarity”, Lawyer Tweneboah Koduah said.

He made this comment during the '2017 in retrospect' programme on UTV.

Lawyer Tweneboa Koduah also disagreed with President Nana Akufo-Addo on his appointment of Major Derrick Oduro (RTD) as Deputy Defence Minister because of the fact that he is a retired Military officer who left active service on the rank of a Major, but has been appointed to an office that has an oversight responsibility over his superiors.

“ . . knowing how important hierarchy is to the military, I don’t think it was appropriate to have named Hon. Derrick Oduro as the Deputy Minister of Defence even though he is a fine gentleman”, he added.

Lawyer TK further praised the government for the Free Senior High School initiative but asked for the completion to all the Community Senior Schools started by the erstwhile Mahama administration in order to ease congestion currently being experienced in our Senior High Schools.
