Renowned Bishop Busted Over 102,000.00 Chop Chop

Information reaching the New Crusading Guide indicates that Bishop Vaglas Kanco, Overseer of the Lords Vineyard Ministry in Accra, has been arrested by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service for allegedly defrauding a British lady (name withheld) of an amount of 120,000.00 under the pretext of praying over her cheque in Ghana so that it could be free from any spiritual influence before it would be returned to her in London in three months time. This alleged fraudulent act by the man of God was said to have occurred when the British lady attended a crusade dubbed Catch the fire, an Easter Convention organized by the Alive Chapel International in London by Prophet Elisha Salifu Amoako, General Overseer, in April 2003. The victims intention for joining the crusaders was to receive her break-through. Bishop Kanco, who was the guest speaker and preacher at that convention, took the cheque with an undertaking that he would not cash it but would only pray over it and return it as soon as God answers his prayer. The Bishop, who would not have patient to wait upon the Lord, allegedly cashed the cheque in Ghana on May 19, 2003 without the ladys consent. The victim, who is in town hunting for the man of God, said she had been searching for him for the past eight years now until the police went for him yesterday. Meanwhile, this paper has gathered that numerous attempts had been made by the lady to retrieve the amount from the Bishop through Prophet Salifu Amoako and Dr. Chigbundu a renowned man of God from Nigeria as well as her lawyer, but all had proved futile.
